Job Summary:

About the Role Meluha International School is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Female Physical Education Teacher to join our academic team for Grades 1–5. The ideal candidate will inspire young learners to embrace physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who are passionate about sports, fitness, and child development, with the ability to create engaging PE lessons that align with CBSE curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Implementation: Plan and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons that promote motor skills, coordination, and fitness in line with CBSE guidelines.

Student Engagement: Foster a love for sports and physical activity by incorporating fun, interactive, and skill-based activities.

Fitness Development: Encourage healthy habits, regular exercise, and awareness of personal well-being among young learners.

Classroom & Field Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and disciplined environment during PE classes, games, and sports activities.

Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and evaluate students' physical progress and skills, providing constructive feedback to support growth.

Sports & Activities: Organise and coordinate school-level sports events, fitness challenges, games, and co-curricular activities.

Student Support: Recognise and nurture individual talents while also ensuring every child participates actively.

Parental Communication: Share updates on student performance, teamwork, and progress in sports, while encouraging parental involvement in fitness initiatives.

Professional Growth: Engage in training programs, workshops, and new pedagogical practices in physical education.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed.) or equivalent qualification.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of physical development in early and primary years, along with familiarity with CBSE curriculum standards.

Skills:

Excellent communication and motivational abilities.

Ability to explain and demonstrate exercises, games, and techniques clearly.

Strong classroom and activity management skills.

Competence in organising events, competitions, and sports activities.

Personality Traits:

Passion for sports, fitness, and child development.

Patient, empathetic, and approachable with young learners.

Energetic, enthusiastic, and capable of inspiring students.

Adaptability and teamwork to collaborate with staff and contribute to the school community.

Preferred Attributes:

Fresh graduates or candidates with less than one year of teaching/coaching experience are welcome to apply.

Willingness to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular programs, such as sports days, fitness drives, or inter-school competitions.
