We're looking for a
Mechanical Engineer with an AI background
who can bridge
physical system design
and
computational intelligence
. This isn't your typical mechanical role — you'll be using AI to optimize reactor geometries, material interfaces, and heat-transfer systems across terrestrial and space-grade energy platforms.

You'll work closely with our R&D, thermal, and electronics teams to design, simulate, and iterate fast — using AI-driven modeling, predictive maintenance analytics, and generative design for next-gen LENR reactors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize mechanical components and subsystems for Hylenr's 500 kW, 1 MW, and 10 MW thermal reactors.
  • Develop
    AI-assisted simulation pipelines
    for fluid dynamics, thermomechanical stress, and material degradation prediction.
  • Collaborate with the AI/ML research team to integrate machine learning into
    digital twins
    and
    predictive fault detection models
    .
  • Apply generative design techniques to reduce mass, enhance heat transfer, and improve manufacturability.
  • Conduct CFD, FEA, and multi-physics simulations (thermal, structural, electromagnetic).
  • Interface with manufacturing and materials teams to validate simulation data with experimental results.
  • Document design iterations, validation results, and system performance improvements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in
    Mechanical / Mechatronics / Aerospace Engineering
    .
  • 2–5 years of experience in
    simulation, thermal systems, or advanced manufacturing
    .
  • Working knowledge of
    Python
    ,
    MATLAB
    , or
    AI/ML frameworks
    (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Proficiency in
    SolidWorks
    ,
    ANSYS
    ,
    COMSOL
    , or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with
    data-driven design optimization
    and
    simulation automation
    .

Preferred:

  • Exposure to
    AI-driven design
    ,
    reinforcement learning
    , or

    in mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with
    fusion, thermodynamics, or energy systems
    .
  • Curiosity about emerging fields like
    quantum materials, plasma control

    additive manufacturing
    .
