Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed electrical CAD drawings for solar PV systems including:

  • Single Line Diagrams (SLD)

  • Wiring layouts

  • Cable routing and trenching plans

  • Earthing and lightning protection systems

  • Collaborate with electrical design engineers to convert conceptual designs into construction-ready drawings.

  • Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes (e.g., IEC, IS, NEC)
  • Coordinate with civil and structural teams for interdisciplinary drawing integration
  • Maintain drawing documentation and version control using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
  • Support site engineers with as-built drawings and revisions during execution
  • Assist in BOM (Bill of Materials) preparation and drawing-based quantity take-offs

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
  • 25 years of experience in CAD drafting for electrical systems, preferably in solar or renewable energy
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office
  • Familiarity with solar PV components: inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, etc.
  • Understanding of grid-connected and off-grid solar systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred:

  • Experience with GIS tools or SCADA integration
  • Knowledge of BIM workflows
  • Exposure to large-scale solar farms or rooftop solar projects
