Purpose/Objective
As a Senior Railway Civil Engineer at Adani, based in Anupur, Madhya Pradesh, you will play a pivotal role in the successful planning, design, execution, and maintenance of railway infrastructure within thermal power projects.

Key Responsibilities of Role
The Senior Railway Civil Engineer will be entrusted with comprehensive responsibilities that span project conception to completion, ensuring that railway civil works meet stringent quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities include: - Project Planning and Design: Develop detailed railway infrastructure plans including track alignment, station layouts, bridges, culverts, embankments, and related civil structures tailored for thermal power plant requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising civil, structural, and mechanical engineers to deliver integrated railway solutions that optimize operational efficiency.
- Coordination and Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal departments, external contractors, regulatory bodies, and railway authorities to ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and project milestones.
- Construction Management: Oversee site activities including earthworks, foundation works, track laying, drainage systems, and ancillary infrastructure ensuring adherence to approved designs, timelines, and budgets.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Implement robust QA/QC processes in line with Adani's quality management system to uphold engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
- Risk Management: Identify potential technical and operational risks during project execution and devise mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Resource Optimization: Manage material procurement, manpower allocation, and machinery deployment effectively, maintaining cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, progress updates, and technical documentation for management review and statutory submissions.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Advocate for the adoption of new technologies, construction methodologies, and sustainable practices that enhance project delivery and operational longevity.
- Training and Development: Mentor junior engineers and site staff fostering a culture of learning, safety awareness, and professional growth consistent with Adani's values.
Technical Competencies
In-depth knowledge of railway track engineering, including track geometry, track laying, and maintenance,Expertise in civil infrastructure design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, and other relevant engineering tools,Proficient understanding of geotechnical engineering, soil mechanics, and foundation design for railway structures,Comprehensive understanding of Indian Railways standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university is mandatory.
- Postgraduate qualification or specialization in Railway Engineering or Structural Engineering will be an added advantage.
