- You have at least 2 years of project management experience.
- Youve worked for a boutique company/outfit. If youve worked in an established/larger organization, then you've done this in ADDITION TO working with a boutique company/outfit.
- You've worked on projects for customers that are Western/foreign, i.e. American, Australian, and/or British.
You've worked on the following types of projects:
Websites
- Custom Web Apps
Mobile Apps
Experience with publication industry clients, a bonus.
Your Role:
- Oversee the execution of projects from start to finish. Waterfall, Scrumfall, Agile/Scrum.
- Ensure that you/your team are working towards WOW'ing your client (internal or external), at all times.
- Ensure you're clear in advance with what your client needs in order to be WOW'ed - ASK if you're not 101% certain.
- Help the client feel as though they are sitting with the Axioned team at all times; achieve this through frequent (at least daily) communication & ensure that the client is always aware of "when they can see what" (proactively set clear expectations, without waiting to be asked).
- Ensure that each member of your team is crystal clear with what they need to do and when they need to do it by; facilitate and guide vs. direct/instruct, where possible.
- Remove "blockers" for your team; figure out what they need help with and support them in getting it ASAP.
- Continuously organise and review the priorities for your project(s) and your team(s). Ensure this information is transparent/shared and easily accessible by your client.
- Drive frequent in-person/daily discussions with your team(s) to clarify and confirm what it is that needs to get done, and what the priorities are.
- Gather, digest, edit and centralise information for your entire team (and client) to encourage easy and swift digestion and swift follow-up action.
- Keep timelines up-to-date. Ensure this information is transparent/shared and easily accessible by your client.
- Keep activities atomic and ensure they're well defined BEFORE the work commences; user stories, acceptance criteria, definition of done. Ensure this information is shared and easily accessible by your team/client.
- Be transparent with your peers as well as Management as to where and when you need help; "blame is not for failure, it is for failing to help or ask for help".
- Develop project estimates with the inputs of your team mates.
- Ensure you/your team is adhering to the company's/client's guidelines.
Your Strengths:
- You have strong analytical and logic skills.
- You are a lover of all things "web" - including mobile-web. Whilst you might not have a tech-degree, you like to think of yourself as biased towards everything "tech" and you KNOW what a good web-user-experience looks/feels like.
- You are diligent and conscientious. You take "ownership" of your tasks/role/work. And you respect the timings/needs of others - especially team-mates and clients.
- You are honest, modest (aka humble), friendly and patient. You're a TEAM PLAYER. You'd prefer that the team get recognition than YOU personally get recognition.
- You are eager, eager, EAGER to always learn and better your skills and yourself.
