The Cosmetic Manufacturing Person is responsible for producing, assembling, and packaging cosmetic products in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role involves operating equipment, mixing ingredients, monitoring production processes, and ensuring products meet company specifications and industry regulations, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Operations:
  • Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment (e.g., mixers, filling machines, or packaging lines).
  • Measure, weigh, and mix raw materials according to product formulations and batch records.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and quality of cosmetic products.
  • Perform line setups, changeovers, and cleaning of equipment to prevent contamination.
  • Quality Control:
  • Inspect products for defects, consistency, and adherence to specifications (e.g., color, texture, fragrance).
  • Conduct basic quality tests, such as pH or viscosity checks, as required.
  • Report any deviations or issues to supervisors and document findings.
  • Packaging and Labeling:
  • Package finished products into containers, tubes, or bottles, ensuring proper sealing and labeling.
  • Verify labels for accuracy, including ingredient lists, batch numbers, and expiration dates.
  • Prepare products for shipping or storage, following proper handling procedures.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Handle chemicals and raw materials safely, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment to prevent contamination.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Record production data, such as batch numbers, quantities, and equipment logs.
  • Report production metrics and any issues to supervisors or quality assurance teams.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with quality control, R&D, and packaging teams to ensure smooth production workflows.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to improve processes and stay updated on regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some roles may require a technical degree or certification in manufacturing, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in manufacturing, preferably in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food production, is a plus but not always required.
  • Skills:
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Basic math and measurement skills for handling formulations.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, or other industry standards (preferred).
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights (e.g., 25-50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Comfort working in a controlled environment with exposure to chemicals (with proper PPE).

Work Environment

  • Work is typically performed in a manufacturing facility or clean room environment.
  • May involve exposure to chemicals, fragrances, or allergens, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Shift work, including evenings or weekends, may be required depending on production schedules.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50, ₹70,000.00 per month
