Service Engineer (Railway Segments)

Location: ICF ,Chennai

Qualification: ITI/Diploma (Mechanical), Candidates with Diploma

EXPERIENCE Min. 5 to 10 Yrs. Experience in Maintenance work

What you will do (Job Duties)

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment (machines used in railways).
  • Do regular machine checks to avoid breakdowns.
  • Operate and maintain workshop machines like lathe, milling, drilling.
  • Support in hydraulic and CNC machines operations.
  • Perform daily/weekly maintenance and cleaning of machines.
  • Follow safety rules and wear PPE.
  • Meet production targets given by the supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems quickly if machines stop working.
  • Prepare and submit technical reports when needed.
  • Work with clients, understand their needs, and maintain good customer relationships.

Skills Required (Most Important)

  • Machine Maintenance Skills – Experience in maintaining and repairing machines.
  • Hands-on Workshop Experience – Operating machines like lathe, milling, drilling.
  • Knowledge of CNC & Hydraulic Machines – At least basic working knowledge.
  • Technical Knowledge – Ability to read mechanical/hydraulic drawings & use measuring tools (Vernier, micrometer, gauges).
  • Problem-Solving – Troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime.
  • Communication Skills – To work with supervisors, team, and clients.
  • Teamwork + Independent Work – Able to manage alone or with a team.
  • Safety Awareness – Use PPE, follow safety rules strictly.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹50,000.00 per month
