Role Overview:
The
Makerspace Lead
is responsible for
coordinating and animating all Param makerspaces
, ensuring each is locally vibrant while globally connected. This role will set up new makerspaces, work with individual Makerspace POCs at each centre, design cross-centre programs, and funnel promising talent and ideas into Param's
Innovation Labs
.
This is a
hands-on maker role
—the ideal candidate must have built, hacked, or prototyped tangible projects and be able to inspire communities through their portfolio of work.

Must-Have Skills & Attributes
- A
maker at heart
: portfolio of physical builds (electronics, fabrication, crafts, robotics, installations, or similar).
- Strong coordination and project management skills.
- Ability to design hands-on programs and mentor diverse participants.
- Comfort with tools, safety protocols, and rapid prototyping workflows.
- Creative storytelling and community-building mindset.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Equivalent
demonstrable hands-on experience
● Experience in exhibition design, product design, spatial design, or related fields preferred.
● A strong sense of storytelling and the ability to narrate through space and
experiences.
● Proven ability to coordinate teams, logistics, and multi-stakeholder projects.
● Creative thinking with a hands-on maker mindset; a portfolio of past work preferred.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
● Passion for creativity and innovation
