Job Overview:

The Data Quality Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance of data within the Data Quality & Data Management Solution. This role plays a crucial part in managing legacy data, profiling, cleansing, and validating datasets to maintain high-quality data standards across government systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, deduplication, and standardization to improve data integrity and reliability.
  • Implement data validation and anomaly detection processes using the proposed Data Quality & Data Management Platform.
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules and ensure adherence to defined SLAs and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with data architects, ETL developers, and analysts to integrate data quality processes within data pipelines.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for data quality issues and propose corrective and preventive measures.
  • Support data migration and legacy data management activities as per RFP requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of data quality metrics, reports, and audit logs.
  • Work with stakeholders to define data quality KPIs, monitor performance, and report exceptions.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards in PSU and government environments.
  • Provide domain expertise during project audits, reviews, and validation exercises.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Management, or related fields.

Preferred: Specialization in Data Analytics, Data Architecture, or Data Quality Management.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Data Quality Management.
  • At least 2 years implementing data quality solutions in government or e-governance projects.
  • Experience in at least 2 large-scale data analytics or data quality projects.
  • Proven hands-on experience in data profiling, deduplication, standardization, and handling multi-source environments (e.g., G2B/G2C integrations).
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and SLA-based data management in PSU/Central/State government projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Data Quality & Data Management Platforms for:
  • Rules-based validation
  • Anomaly detection
  • Reporting and monitoring
  • Strong knowledge of SQL querying, data mapping, and ETL integration.
  • Hands-on experience with data quality tools and profiling utilities.
  • Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data audit processes.
  • Exposure to data governance policies, security, and privacy compliance standards.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams (architects, developers, analysts, and stakeholders).
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities for data quality assessments.
  • Must provide verifiable references from similar data-intensive projects.
