Company Overview:

We are a reputed Aerospace manufacturing and precision engineering company located in Bidadi, specializing in the design and machining of high-accuracy aerospace components. We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with hands-on expertise in SolidCAM to support our design and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and program CNC machining operations using SolidCAM integrated with SolidWorks.
  • Create tool paths, simulation setups, and G-code for milling and turning operations for aerospace components.
  • Design and modify 3D models, jigs, fixtures, and tooling as per aerospace standards.
  • Optimize machining processes to ensure precision, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to validate CAM programs and ensure manufacturability.
  • Analyze machining strategies to reduce cycle time and improve surface finish.
  • Conduct tool selection, cutting parameter optimization, and post-processor verification.
  • Review engineering drawings and customer specifications for program development.
  • Troubleshoot machining or programming issues during production.
  • Maintain proper data management, documentation, and version control of design and CAM files.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Mandatory expertise in SolidCAM (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis programming).
  • Strong knowledge of SolidWorks for 3D modeling and integration with CAM.
  • Understanding of aerospace machining processes, materials (Aluminum, Titanium, Inconel, etc.), and tolerances.
  • Hands-on experience in CNC milling/turning operations and G-code validation.
  • Ability to interpret GD&T, engineering drawings, and toolpath simulations.
  • Familiarity with cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in SolidCAM programming and design within an Aerospace or Precision Engineering company.
