Design/Drafting Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with customers to provide 2D/3D drawings using various tools including AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
  • Review documentation and details provided by the customer to convert to meaningful audiovisual flow diagrams and architectural drawings set.
  • Estimate labor required to perform drafting work based on the information provided by the customer.
  • Build and maintain a library of blocks and details using AutoCAD/REVIT for internal AVDL use as well as specific customer requirements.
  • Keep up to date on various audiovisual products in the market and provide feedback and input to team members on roadmap requirements and product direction.
  • Communicate with clients by email and phone and maintain turnaround times and deadlines set by the customers.
  • Collect customer feedback, enhancements, and feature requests and disseminate findings to team leaders to continuously improve our product offerings.
  • Participates in team meetings for education and product strategies.
  • Attends tradeshows and marketing events as needed.

Requirements:

  • A pleasing personality with a strong ambition to have fun while working is a must. If you can be productive while having fun, well, that will be an added advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is preferred but not required
  • 1+ years of drafting/design engineering or equivalent experience in a rapidly changing needed dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively via telephone and email with customers.
  • Experience in working with key buying personas like HR, IT, Sales, and Marketing preferred.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk products including but not limited to AutoCAD/REVIT, Microsoft Office products, and the Internet.
