Assistant Manager – Indirect Tax

- Business & Corporate Support: Assist business and corporate teams
- by providing relevant indirect tax advice to drive business objectives
- and ensure compliance.
- Litigation & Notices: Manage responses to tax notices, file appeals,
- and work towards the closure of tax assessments and issues.
- GST Compliance & Automation: Ensure timely compliance with GST
- and indirect tax regulations. Assist in automating processes to
- streamline tax compliance.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure all tax filings (including GST) are done
- within prescribed deadlines and manage timely filing of refunds.
- Reconciliation & Audit Support: Reconcile Tax General Ledgers (GLs)
- and support internal and external auditors during audits to ensure
- compliance and resolve any discrepancies.
- Strong Communica\uDBC0\uDD9Fon & Drafting Skills: Ability to communicate
- effectively (both written and verbal) with internal teams and
- external stakeholders, and to draft tax-related documents such as
- notices, appeals, and advisory notes.
- Team Collaboration & Deadline Management: Ability to work as a
- team player, collaborate across functions, and manage deadlines
- effectively, even while handling multiple priorities.
- Attention on to Detail & Interpretational Skills: Strong attention to
- detail with a focus on accuracy in tax matters and the ability to
- interpret and apply complex tax laws and regulations to various
- business scenarios.
- Managing Multiple Legal Entities & Ongoing Litigations: Ability to
- handle indirect tax matters across multiple legal entities and
- jurisdictions while efficiently managing ongoing tax disputes.
- High Work Volume & Strained Timelines: Ability to manage high
- work volumes, mee\uDBC0\uDD9Fng strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- and compliance in tax-related outcomes.
- A relevant degree in Law, Commerce, Accounting, or Taxa\uDBC0\uDD9Fon.
- Proven experience in indirect taxation, including GST, VAT, Service
- Tax, Customs, FTP, and Entertainment Tax.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance, litigation, and audits,
- with experience in preparing notices, filing appeals, and managing
- reconciliations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage
- multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
