Role Title: Plant Finance Controller

Grade: Manager

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reporting To: Corporate Finance Controller

Average Experience (in years)

relevant years of experience in Finance with manufacturing industry with understanding of costing, Inventory management, financial planning and internal control.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To lead plant-level financial management including costing, inventory control, financial planning, analysis, governance, and operational support to ensure profitability, cost efficiency, and strong internal controls.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Plant Costing and Inventory Management

  • Manage product and process costing, prepare cost sheets, and drive cost control initiatives.
  • Conduct yield variance analysis and support corrective actions.
  • Oversee inventory valuation, consumption reconciliation, and scrap management.
  • Coordinate and monitor periodic physical verification of inventory.

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Prepare annual plant budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Track critical KPIs including yield, wastage, consumption, and production performance.
  • Drive plant profitability, cost optimization, and efficiency improvement projects.

Operational Financial Support

  • Partner closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to support operational decision-making.
  • Prepare capex proposals in collaboration with business teams and track capex spends against approvals.

Governance & Internal Control

  • Strengthen internal controls, processes, and compliance at the plant.
  • Roll out SOPs and operating manuals related to finance and costing.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring closure of observations.
