Experience Required: Minimum 1-6 years in US Healthcare Hospital Billing (AR Calling)

Shift: US Shift (EST hours)

Qway Technologies is hiring experienced AR Callers with a strong background in hospital billing to join our growing team. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for handling claims follow-up with insurance companies, resolving denials, and ensuring accurate reimbursement for hospital-based services.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform outbound calls to insurance companies (payer calls) to resolve claims issues.
  • Work on hospital billing claims (UB-04), including inpatient, outpatient, and ER services.
  • Follow up on pending claims and initiate appeals or corrections as needed.
  • Analyze EOBs/ERAs to identify and resolve underpayments, denials, or rejections.
  • Document call outcomes and actions in the billing system accurately.
  • Meet daily and weekly productivity and quality targets (claims worked, resolution rate, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the internal billing and coding teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in US Healthcare AR calling with a focus on hospital billing.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial payers).
  • Familiarity with UB-04 forms, DRG codes, and hospital RCM workflow.
  • Excellent spoken English and communication skills.
  • Experience with billing software like Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar is a plus.
