Guest Greeting & First Impression
- Warmly greet all guests within 10–15 seconds of arrival.
- Maintain a welcoming, calm, and professional demeanour at all times.
- Ensure guests feel acknowledged and valued as soon as they enter.
Reservation & Seating Management
- Manage the reservation system (walk-ins + pre-bookings).
- Plan seating arrangements to optimise table turnover and reduce guest waiting time.
- Communicate table status with the Captain and service team consistently.
- Maintain accurate waitlist and provide realistic waiting time updates.
Guest Coordination & Assistance
- Escort guests to their tables and hand over menus smoothly.
- Assist senior citizens, children, and special-needs guests proactively.
- Handle guest queries regarding menu, wait time, outlet layout, and services.
- Manage special occasions (birthday, anniversary setups) by coordinating with the floor staff.
ommunication & Coordination with Team
- Update the Captain and Stewards on guest preferences, allergies, VIPs, and repeat guests.
- Inform kitchen/service teams about large groups, peak rush, or unexpected surges.
- Conduct effective communication to ensure seamless service flow.
Ambience & Front Desk Management
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the entrance, podium, and waiting area.
- Ensure fragrance, lighting, and music levels meet brand standards.
- Keep menus, reservation sheets, and guest sign-in logs neatly organized.
Customer Satisfaction & Feedback Handling
- Monitor guest satisfaction through table checks (without interrupting service).
- Record guest complaints and escalate to Captain/Manager immediately.
- Track feedback and inform management about recurring issues or suggestions.
Brand Standards & Grooming
- Maintain impeccable grooming as per company policy.
- Exhibit brand-appropriate behavior, tone, and hospitality etiquette.
- Adhere to SOPs for greetings, seating, and farewell.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily guest count (footfall), reservation reports, and waitlist logs.
- Prepare brief shift-end reports and hand over details to the next shift.
- Update VIP/regular guest records and their preferences.
