Associate Manager, Database Development (PostgreSQL / Oracle)

About the Role We are seeking an Associate Manager, Database Development to lead migration projects and grow a team of talented developers while remaining hands-on with PostgreSQL and Oracle SQL/PLSQL. This role blends technical leadership with strategic execution, driving automation and performance optimization in large-scale migration efforts. You will collaborate with business and technology leaders, ensuring efficient project delivery on time and under budget. The ideal candidate will bring deep database expertise, a passion for mentoring, and a forward-looking mindset—leveraging Agentic AI to automate and accelerate data-driven migration processes.

What you will do:

Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing coaching, feedback, and technical guidance

Drive end-to-end delivery of migration projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance

Design, develop, and implement complex database solutions including procedures, functions, triggers, and performance-tuned queries as required for the successful delivery

Apply Agentic AI techniques to automate and streamline migration workflows, data transformation, and validation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable database solutions

Optimize database performance and proactively identify opportunities for efficiency improvements

Troubleshoot issues, resolve production incidents, and ensure high availability of database systems

Stay current with emerging database technologies and guide the team on adoption where valuable

Contribute to process improvements, automation, and best practices

What We're Looking For:

10+ years of database development experience, including deep expertise in PostgreSQL and Oracle SQL/PLSQL

Strong command of stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages, and advanced SQL

Demonstrated experience in SQL performance tuning and optimizing complex queries for large datasets

Experience leading or mentoring developers, with demonstrated ability to manage and grow talent

Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts and practical experience applying AI-driven automation in data workflows

Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to lead resolution of complex technical issues

Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
