Our site in Pune, India is seeking a SAP Ariba System Administrator to join our team. It is is a techno / functional operations role in the Procurement CoE. The Admin is responsible for the daily operational support of procurement activity within Ariba. You will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Procurement Ops, buyers, end users, other IT teams and SAP Ariba Helpdesk Support & consultants to help define, plan and execute short & long-term system solutions and assist with operational implementations or process improvement.

You will be responsible for monitoring performance, ensuring optimal system performance, and coordinating and executing system upgrades and capability enhancement. The role requires working knowledge of business processes related to procurement and coordination of people and resources, in addition to knowledge about applications in use, and their configuration and maintenance.

What you will do:

• Provide business process, technical support and training for all buyers and users Ariba, aside from daily administrative tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex projects, with developing priorities. Extended hours may be required based on system availability.
• Assist with development of End User training materials.
• Provides detailed analysis to support critical activities and special projects as well as develops tools and templates to streamline procurement initiatives.
• System Road mapping and project scoping
• Support development of business cases for project and smaller scale implementations. Leverage business and technical knowledge to help shape optimal solutions and updates for enhanced user experience and data integrity.
• Help shape long term strategy around system and process.
• Own technical integration with other IT systems and associated data flows
• Partner with other IT disciplines and SAP Ariba to ensure smooth integration.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical verification in the event of data issues.
• Explore, Develop, and Implement recommendations to improve the efficiency of Ariba.
• Using available resources, stay up to date with knowledge related to advances in Procurement systems and processes.
• Build a strong Ariba Admin and Buyer community through training, support and knowledge sharing to keep solutions aligned with the business needs.
• Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and within all technical teams that intersect with Ariba.
• Influence user base through effective communication on system capabilities and best practice for usage.
• Will work collaboratively with other Ariba Admin to maximize user experience with Ariba.
• Beyond day-to-day monitoring/correction, Role will coordinate with Ariba Admin to implement system updates and configuration validation around various system processes.
• This position is to champion Ariba use. Role will often start from an end user reported issue and need to navigate through Ariba and interconnected systems to properly scope and implement solutions.
• Acumen in communicating across organizations at multiple levels of seniority.
• Routine communication with procurement leadership, technical leadership and various levels of buyers and end users is a key requirement in this role.

What we seek: ​​​​​​​

• BS in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business, or other related area of study preferred MBA a Plus.
• Eight plus (8) years application development and/or configuration/procurement/technology experience or equivalent technical procurement related experience required.
• Proficient in technical writing (Test scripts, Functional/Technical requirements, etc.)
• Possesses in depth knowledge of Procurement/Spend Management systems and business processes
• System knowledge of SAP Ariba, comprehensive understanding of the interface process between SAP and Ariba. 
• Certification in SAP Ariba is preferred.
• Team player, ability to work with internal teams to provide the best end user experience. 
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to think about business problems in new ways and clarify key issues in complex situations 
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business issues. 
• Technical system configuration and troubleshooting skills.
• Project management; organization; ability to work and communicate with stakeholders; ability to investigate and address complex technical issues.
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and changing environment
• Possess the business acumen to understand business issues and determine if the issue can be corrected through Ariba configurations or if the issue must be corrected through IT intervention. 
• Experience as a liaison between the users and the IT and SAP Ariba team; ability to explain business issues and liaise with the IT and SAP Ariba team when required to correct the issue; experience developing use cases in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
