Position Title:

Sr. Engineer/ Assistant Manager-Production

Function/Department: Roll Forming & punching press

Team Size: 25

Reporting To :

Manager (Production), DGM. (Production/Plant Maintenance)

Direct Reports (Position title only):

Manager (Production), DGM. (Production/ Plant Maintenance)

Dimensions: Entire shift Production as per Production planning & Quality Requirement with safe conditions

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for handling the entire shift w.r.t SQPCH
  • Ensure 05 set of Roll forming lines & Press machines run smoothly as per production planning and maintain quality standards.
  • Monitoring the entire shift production & rejection
  • Maintaining the Safety & 5S in the shop floor.
  • Training and Development of New Joining Employees.
  • Maintaining inventory of Critical spares & consumables

Accountability

Key Activities

Roll forming Line & Press machines

  • Daily Monitoring of 04 sets of Roll forming line Production & ensuring the availability of components for the next operation.
  • Should be technically sound in Press machines & its running.
  • Thorough knowledge of tool setup & tool-related issue.
  • Soft skill knowledge like basic Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Setup time to be monitored and controlled.
  • Maintaining the 5S in the Shop floor.
  • To implement min 2 Kaizens per month.
  • Thorough knowledge of the stamping process.
  • Basic knowledge of steel grades, mechanical and chemical properties.
  • Should have knowledge in SAP for production-related activities

Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering in Production with min 5 years of Experience

Skills: Communication, Training, Problem Solving, 5S, Pokayoke, Excel, & word documents

Competencies: Roll forming line Setting, Press Tool Problem Analysis, and solving

improvements.
