Job Title: Restaurant Hostess

Position Summary

The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm and welcoming greeting and ensuring a smooth and organized flow of service. This role is responsible for managing reservations, seating arrangements, and assisting in maintaining the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and waiting lists using reservation software or a host stand log.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
• Ensure guest comfort and satisfaction while they wait to be seated.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting entrance and host stand area.
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding guest flow and table availability.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide basic restaurant information.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
• Monitor dining room activity to ensure efficient seating and service flow.
• Provide accurate wait time estimates when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or hostess experience preferred.
• Hotel Management or Aviation Degree/ Diploma
