Job Description

Responsibilities: Define, implement, and improve the release management process Plan/coordinate release schedules and cycles with all necessary Teams Measure/monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and meet or exceed expectations Define, implement, and improve SCM processes to improve productivity Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes (including requirements, test plans, schedule, and scope changes) to stakeholders and product owners Conduct Release Readiness Reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go Reviews Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans Define, implement, and improve change & risk management processes to improve deployments. Work with build engineers to understand impact of branches and code merges Participate in CAB meetings to maintain awareness of release schedules and future release targets Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists Research new software development technologies and configuration management methodologies Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production. Skill Set: 3 years of release management experience 3 year of software configuration management Strong knowledge of GIT repository, source code control management systems Strong knowledge of GIT branching concepts, configuration and automated builds using Jenkins is required Solid understanding of project management principles Agile Software Development and Management methods and ability to excel within an Agile environment Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion Good understanding of Quality Control and Test Automation in Agile-based Continuous Integration environments
