Java Developer

Job Summary :We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Java/MySQL Web Application Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and deploying high-quality web applications using Java technologies (JSP, Servlets) and managing MySQL databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web application development, database management, and a passion for creating efficient and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities :Web Application Development :

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java technologies, specifically JSP and Servlets.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code.
• Develop and implement user interfaces and server-side logic.
• Integrate web applications with external systems and APIs.
• Implement security best practices to protect web applications from vulnerabilities.

MySQL Database Management :

• Design and manage MySQL database structures, including tables, indexes, and relationships.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Implement database schemas and ensure data integrity.
• Perform database backups, restores, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

Deployment and Maintenance :

• Deploy and maintain web applications on production servers.
• Configure and manage application servers (e.g , Tomcat, Jetty).
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement application updates and enhancements.
• Ensure application security and stability.

Testing and Debugging:

• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests.
• Debug and troubleshoot application and database issues.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure application quality and reliability.

Documentation :

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and release notes.
• Document database schemas and queries.
• Maintain accurate records of application changes and updates.

Collaboration and Communication :

• Collaborate with team members, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Participate in Agile development processes.
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices.

Continuous Learning :

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Java and MySQL technologies and best practices.

Qualifications :Education :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

• Years of experience in Java web application development.
• Proven experience with JSP and Servlets.
• Experience with MySQL database management.
• Experience with web application deployment and maintenance.

Technical Skills :

• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• Expertise in JSP and Servlets.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and MySQL database management.
• Experience with web application servers (e.g , Tomcat, Jetty).
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g , Git).
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
