Role Description

  • Develop and maintain backend systems that power data products
  • Build and optimize data pipelines for log ingestion, transformation, and enrichment
  • Implement joins and resolution logic across identifiers (email hash, MAID, NPI, IP, device IDs, etc.)
  • Work within Snowflake to build segment definitions, scoring models, and activation-ready audiences
  • Collaborate on the development of reporting APIs and planning tools that will feed into downstream dashboards
  • Support integrations with 3rd-party vendors (e.g., Liveramp, DSPs)
  • Ensure data governance, privacy compliance, and jurisdictional filtering rules are implemented in code

Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, must be able to collaborate across Teams, GitHub, and calls with US-based leadership
  • 3–6 years of professional experience in backend or data engineering
  • Strong Python (you should be comfortable writing clean, maintainable code)
  • Advanced SQL and schema design experience (preferably in Snowflake or equivalent columnar warehouse)
  • Experience with data pipelines (ETL/ELT, Airflow, or custom serverless pipelines)
  • Familiarity with hashed identifiers and identity resolution concepts
  • Familiarity with AWS - MySQL Redshift Athena

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of PHP and Javascript
  • Ad tech domain knowledge (e.g., DSP/SSP, cookies, bid logs, win rates)
  • Prior work with medical taxonomies, or claims-based data
  • Understanding of data privacy principles (e.g., opt-in, consent, region-specific rules like CPRA or HIPAA)
  • Exposure to predictive modeling, audience scoring, or engagement analytics
