We are seeking a Cloud FinOps Lead to drive cloud cost management and optimization across the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring alignment between business, finance, and IT teams while fostering accountability and transparency in cloud spending.

This role requires a strong blend of cloud expertise, data architecture, business intelligence and collaborative skills to deliver impactful results.

Work you'll do
As a Cloud FinOps Lead, your work will focus on driving financial accountability by building robust data and analytics solutions, identifying, and implementing continuous cost optimization opportunities, and enhancing operational efficiency through effective governance in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Cost Management and Reporting

• Design Analytics solutions to provide real-time visibility into cloud spending across teams and projects.
• Translate complex cloud cost data and analytics into actionable insights tailored to different stakeholder groups (technical and non-technical audiences).

Cost Optimization Initiatives

• Provide actionable cost optimization recommendations under waste management, rightsizing, reservations, further evaluates latest cloud pricing models, service changes, and tools for cost implications across Azure, AWS, and GCP, and define new cost optimization levers.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement cost optimization.
• Drive adoption of cost-efficient architectures and cloud-native services.

Team Management

• Mentor and guide FinOps team members technically and professionally, fostering their growth and development.
• Set clear goals and expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and FinOps best practices.
• Stakeholder Identification and Engagement
• Identify key stakeholders across finance, engineering, business units, and leadership to ensure alignment on cloud financial goals and priorities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives related to cloud spend and optimization.

FinOps Organization Management

• Drive FinOps education and enablement programs to build cloud cost awareness and financial accountability across the organization.
• Provide training, best practice sharing, and knowledge resources to upskill internal teams on FinOps principles and tools.
• Develop and maintain a FinOps roadmap aligned with organizational cloud strategy and business objectives.

Work shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology
• 10 + years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on cost management and optimization (FinOps).
• Expert-level knowledge of the Cloud Platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) pricing structures and cost management tools.
• Experience in implementing data and analytics solutions using cloud data platforms like Microsoft Fabric/Google Big Query etc..
• Deep understanding of cloud pricing models, including pay-as-you-go, reserved instances, savings plans, and spot pricing.
• Experience in cost data analysis using Excel/ POWER BI and other business intelligence tools.
• Experience with cloud financial management tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Google Cloud Billing, or Cloudability.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
