Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain
    data models and algorithms
    for Smart Grid operations, including demand forecasting, load balancing, and energy optimization.
  • Work on
    Smart Grid Model Movement
    initiatives—ensuring smooth migration, validation, and deployment of grid models across simulation, testing, and production environments.
  • Analyze large-scale
    sensor, meter, and network data
    to identify trends, anomalies, and predictive insights.
  • Design and implement
    machine learning pipelines
    for predictive maintenance, fault detection, and grid stability analysis.
  • Collaborate with
    data engineers and domain experts
    to integrate models with real-time data streams and decision-support systems.
  • Ensure
    model governance, reproducibility, and version control
    throughout the grid model lifecycle.
  • Present actionable insights and findings to stakeholders through visualizations, dashboards, and technical reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
    .
  • Proven experience in
    Smart Grid analytics, model management, or power systems data science
    .
  • Strong programming skills in
    Python, R, or SQL
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    machine learning frameworks
    (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Familiarity with
    time-series analysis
    ,
    forecasting models
    , and
    data visualization tools
    (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Plotly).
  • Working knowledge of
    data platforms
    like Databricks, AWS, or Azure for data movement and model deployment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred (Good to Have):

  • Experience with
    energy management systems (EMS)
    or
    distribution management systems (DMS)
    .
  • Understanding of
    SCADA, IoT, or smart meter data
    .
  • Exposure to
    MLOps or model lifecycle management tools
    .
  • Knowledge of
    optimization algorithms
    for energy distribution and resource allocation.
