Job Description: Design Engineer Location: Chennai, India Employment Type: Full Time Qualification /ExperienceBachelors / Master's in Mechanical engineering –Design - 5 to 8 years'experience Summary: The Mechanical DesignEngineer will work with team of engineers and understand therequirements of the gearbox design for product development of wind turbine gearboxesand build the component design using 3D CAD and engineering drawings withhigh quality. Software Knowledge:NX (Unigraphics), Teamcenter, Basics of MicrosoftOffice tools RequirementsTechnical Skills & Key Responsibilities:· Fundamental understanding of the mechanical designprinciples and Machine Elements· Good exposure to designing of gearbox components like Planetry & Helical.· Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance and Stack upanalysis.· Work within teams to gain an understanding of gearboxand mechanical interfacesand their design requirements· Experience in 3D CAD design of the gearbox componentand related 2D drawings· Responsible for quality and timely delivery of alldrawings· Previous experience in wind/industrial gearboxesindustry is an added advantage. Soft Skills required:· Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills,ability to work in teams.· Self -organizing, communication skills and Ability towork on tight deadlines· Must be Self -motivated, Team player, Effectiveproblem -solving capabilities with analytical skills.· Desire to learn new concepts continuously· Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing,dynamic, international team with a Strong customer -oriented attitude
