The Assistant Vice President Women Empowerment & Welfare will lead the companys women empowerment strategy, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while driving initiatives that promote gender equality, employee well-being, and inclusive workplace culture. This role combines compliance leadership with strategic empowerment initiatives, grievance redressal, and program management, positioning women's empowerment as a core business imperative.

Key Responsibilities

1. Compliance Leadership

  • Lead the Women Empowerment team in ensuring compliance with industry laws and regulations, mitigating risks of lawsuits, fines, and reputational damage.
  • Establish and manage internal compliance systems across facilities with real-time monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with departmental heads to address sensitive compliance issues, ensuring alignment with legal and ethical standards.

2. Strategic Empowerment Initiatives

  • Drive initiatives focused on gender equality, women's rights, education, and empowerment as critical business imperatives.
  • Champion programs that enhance women's self-confidence, self-reliance, and capacity for decision-making.
  • Address discrimination, disadvantage, and access barriers by empowering women through rights, skills, and opportunity development.

3. Training & Development

  • Develop and deliver specialized training for welfare officers on gender-based violence, mental health, legal rights, and counseling.
  • Organize skill-building and capacity development programs that enhance women's participation in decision-making processes.
  • Oversee on-the-job training initiatives in collaboration with clients and external agencies to address workplace challenges and skill gaps.

4. Grievance Management

  • Manage and resolve grievances received via Reach CEO, complaint boxes, and SHE Box with confidentiality and adherence to company policies.
  • Ensure timely resolution of grievances to maintain a safe and supportive workplace environment.

5. Sexual Harassment Prevention

  • Lead initiatives for prevention, prohibition, and redressal of sexual harassment at the workplace in line with POSH Act and internal policies.
  • Regularly update SOPs and policies related to harassment, ensuring effective implementation and awareness across the organization.

6. Risk Management & Benchmarking

  • Set benchmarks in risk management by providing strategic direction to the Women Empowerment team.
  • Stay updated with regulatory changes and update procedures accordingly.
  • Conduct interactions with women employees to identify potential risks and areas for continuous improvement.

7. Program Management

  • Oversee programs such as PACE/RISE, SST, and Gender Parity, ensuring compliance, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Act as custodian of the company's women empowerment strategy, embedding inclusivity and compliance into workplace culture.

8. Employee Engagement

  • Organize events, employee engagement activities, counseling sessions, and cultural celebrations to foster inclusivity and positivity.
  • Design initiatives that align with business needs while promoting respect, diversity, and continuous improvement.

9. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with external legal experts, NGOs, and clients to ensure effective implementation of empowerment and compliance procedures.
  • Promote equal participation of women in decision-making and support income-generation and skills training programs.

10. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to align with organizational goals while fostering a culture of empowerment and inclusion.
  • Provide strategic direction to the Women Empowerment team, ensuring professional growth and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Law, Gender Studies, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in HR/Compliance/Women Empowerment roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, POSH Act, compliance frameworks, and women empowerment best practices.
  • Proven track record in implementing large-scale gender equality, training, and grievance redressal initiatives.
