Position: Chief Chemist – Water-Soluble Fertilizers

Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry

Experience: Minimum 10 years in Fertilizer / Agrochemical Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Chemist to lead the chemical and laboratory operations of our Water-Soluble Fertilizers Plant. The role requires expertise in fertilizer chemistry, process optimization, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on agrochemical production.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of water-soluble fertilizers, micronutrients, and specialty fertilizers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the chemical operations and laboratory functions for water-soluble fertilizer production.
• Develop, optimize, and standardize formulations for NPK, micronutrient, and specialty fertilizers.
• Conduct rigorous testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot chemical and process issues at plant scale and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, environmental, and GMP/ISO guidelines.
• Maintain complete documentation of processes, test results, and regulatory compliance records.
• Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality teams to drive efficiency and innovation.
• Mentor and train junior chemists and laboratory personnel.

Candidate Profile

• M.Sc. in Chemistry is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Fertilizer / Agrochemical industry.
• Strong expertise in fertilizer chemistry, water-soluble formulations, and micronutrients.
• Experience with plant-scale chemical reactions and effluent management preferred.
• Knowledge of local agricultural regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
