*Job Description*
Manager - Textile (Weaving)
*Key Responsibilities:*
- * Resolve customer complaints and needs by acting on feedback from internal and external customers, analyzing complaints, and furnishing corrective actions to reduce non-conformance rates.
- * Plan and execute daily fabric production, monitor weaving efficiency, and conduct quality audits in the loop section to ensure optimal production outcomes.
- * Ensure the safe operations of the plant by closing safety observations promptly and promoting the reporting of near-miss incidents, implementing safe practices on the shop floor.
- * Develop team capabilities by providing on-the-job training (OJT) to workmen and technicians, maintaining a skill matrix, and coordinating resources for domain training.
- * Ensure compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, reviewing actions on audit points to minimize non-conformance in audits.
- * Monitor and optimize raw material consumption in weaving by overseeing weft quality and analyzing packing and consumable patterns.
- * Implement continuous improvement plans for enhanced reliability of equipment and controls, preparing timely completion reports for capital expenditure activities and projects.
*Requirements:*
- * B.Tech/B.E. degree in Textile Engineering or a related field.
- * 5-10 years of experience in textile manufacturing, specifically in weaving operations.
- * Strong planning and execution capabilities with a focus on customer centricity.
- * Proven problem-solving skills and a track record of taking ownership in challenging situations.
- * Excellent team working skills to foster collaboration among diverse teams.
- * Innovation and quality orientation with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- * Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements related to quality and safety.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
- * Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- * Exposure to Total Quality Management (TQM) principles.
- * Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making.
- * Previous leadership experience in managing diverse teams effectively.
