QA / QC ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and implement QA procedures, standards, and specifications tailored to tube fittings and valves production.
  • Draft, review, and update SOPs, work instructions, and quality manuals.
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and final products to ensure compliance with ASME, ASTM, ISO, API, or customer-specific standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality reports for traceability.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Procurement teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for First Article Inspection Reports (FAI), PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Maintain calibration record of all measuring instruments and testing equipment's and ensure their time to time calibration.
  • Lead internal and external quality audits and support customer audits and third- party certifications. (e.g. ISO 9001, PED.)
  • Document and report non-conformances, including preparation of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development of Quality Metrics, KPIs, and dashboards for senior management review.
  • Provide training and guidance to operators and technicians on quality control techniques, standards, and procedures.
