Job Description :We are looking for an experienced HPC Architect / Lead specializing in Scientific Cloud Computing to drive innovation in research-driven environments. This role requires expertise in AWS Cloud services, high-performance computing (HPC), and, ideally, exposure to life sciences applications. The candidate will lead cloud infrastructure projects, optimize computational performance, and mentor technical teams. Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage cloud computing infrastructure for scientific research, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
  • Design and implement AWS Cloud solutions (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, etc.) for high-performance computing workloads.
  • Architect and deploy scalable HPC solutions in AWS, optimizing resource utilization for research computations.
  • Collaborate with research teams and stakeholders to translate scientific requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement, monitor, and optimize HPC clusters, ensuring efficient resource management.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud architects and engineers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and performance issues.
  • Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and integrate best practices into workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security, cost optimization, and performance best practices across all projects.
  • Engage with clients in the life sciences domain to understand and address computational challenges.

Skills and Qualifications Required :

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Expertise in designing and deploying HPC solutions in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, networking).
  • Strong background in HPC cluster management and performance optimization.
  • Experience in automating cloud infrastructure using Python, Bash, Terraform, CloudFormation.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance management.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience mentoring technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Exposure to life sciences applications (computational biology, bioinformatics, medical research).
  • Experience with scientific computing tools (MATLAB, R, Python, HPC job schedulers).
  • Advanced knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployment.
