Medical Transcriptionist

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for listening to audio recordings made by healthcare professionals and accurately converting them into written medical reports, correspondence, and other administrative materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Listen to dictated recordings from doctors and other healthcare professionals and transcribe them into accurate reports.
• Review and edit drafts prepared by speech recognition software, ensuring precision and consistency.
• Verify patient information and ensure confidentiality of all records.
• Identify inconsistencies or errors in medical terms, diagnoses, or procedures and clarify information when needed.
• Format reports according to established templates and standards.
• Meet assigned deadlines while maintaining high accuracy levels.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company data security protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Medical Transcriptionist (freshers with certification can also apply).
• Excellent command of English language, grammar, and medical terminology.
• Strong listening, comprehension, and typing skills (minimum 50 wpm preferred).
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Familiarity with transcription software and EHR systems is an advantage.
