Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced MRD (Medical Records Department) Incharge to oversee and manage the medical records department in a reputed medical college and hospital. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in healthcare documentation, record management, and compliance with statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the Medical Records Department (MRD).
• Ensure proper maintenance, confidentiality, and retrieval of patient records.
• Monitor compliance with medical record-keeping standards, NABH/NABL requirements, and legal guidelines.
• Train and guide MRD staff in documentation practices.
• Coordinate with medical, administrative, and academic departments for smooth record management.
• Generate periodic reports and support hospital accreditation processes.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Graduate in Medical Records/Health Information Management (or equivalent).
• At least 10 years of experience in MRD, preferably in a medical college & hospital.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with hospital information systems and electronic health records will be an added advantage.

Key Skills:

• Expertise in Medical Records Management (manual & digital).
• In-depth knowledge of hospital accreditation standards (NABH/NABL, MCI/NMC requirements).
• Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) & Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Strong understanding of legal, ethical, and confidentiality guidelines in healthcare documentation.
• Ability to train, supervise, and lead MRD staff effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong reporting, auditing, and compliance monitoring abilities.
• Effective coordination with doctors, nursing staff, and administration.
• Problem-solving and decision-making in medical records workflow.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
