Position Overview:

The Revenue Accounting and MIS Executive or CA Industrial Trainee (Semi-Qualified) is

responsible for supporting the revenue accounting and management information system

(MIS) functions within the organization. This role involves ensuring accurate recording and

reporting of revenue transactions, analysing revenue data, and generating MIS reports to aid

decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Accounting:

 Record and reconcile revenue transactions in accordance with accounting standards

and company policies.

 Prepare revenue accruals, deferrals, and adjustments as necessary.

 Assist in the preparation of revenue-related financial statements and reports.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue recognition issues and

discrepancies.

Management Information System (MIS):

 Develop and maintain MIS reports to provide insights into revenue performance and

trends.

 Collect, analyse, and interpret revenue data to identify opportunities for

improvement.

 Create dashboards and presentations for senior management to communicate

revenue-related information effectively.

 Implement processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of MIS data.

Financial Analysis:

 Conduct variance analysis and performance metrics tracking to assess revenue

performance against targets.

 Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing revenue-related inputs

and analysis.

 Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

 Identify opportunities to streamline revenue accounting processes and enhance

efficiency.

 Participate in system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve the

accuracy and timeliness of revenue reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

 CA Industrial Trainee is an added advantage.

 Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly revenue recognition

standards.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools for data manipulation and

reporting.

 Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.

 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets accurately.

 Effective communication and presentation skills.

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
