The ideal candidate will be comfortable with creating an engineering plan for land development based on their calculations and any research conducted. They should have experience with AutoCAD and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids. By utilizing strong organizational and communication skills, this candidate will also have the ability to execute a project based on the criteria outlined.

Responsibilities

1. Site Survey and Planning:

  • Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments for new tower locations.
  • Prepare BOQs, site drawings, and civil work plans.
  • Evaluate soil testing reports and foundation design suitability.

2. Execution & Monitoring:

  • Supervise all civil works including foundation, erection, fencing, shelter installation, and other site infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for timely and quality execution.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, cost estimates, and quality standards.

3. Quality Control & Safety:

  • Ensure all civil works comply with structural and safety standards.
  • Conduct quality checks as per the SOP and project guidelines.
  • Maintain safety practices at sites to ensure zero incidents.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain site-wise documentation including work progress, material consumption, deviation reports, etc.
  • Prepare and submit site progress reports, material reconciliation, and contractor bills for verification.
  • Coordinate with the SCM and logistics teams for timely material delivery.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals – RCC, foundation, and structural design
  • Familiarity with telecom tower types (GBT, RTT, Rooftop towers, Monopoles)
  • Knowledge of relevant IS codes, TSP/OSP standards, and safety guidelines
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and basic Excel reporting
  • Strong project management and contractor coordination skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Willingness to travel extensively to remote sites

Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Diploma holders with strong experience may also apply)
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in telecom infrastructure or related fields
  • Experience with telecom tower construction (preferably with TSPs or Infra providers) is an advantage
