Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable WordPress/PHP solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in PHP and WordPress standards.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and other services into WordPress sites.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in WordPress applications and plugins.
  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in WordPress and PHP development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a WordPress Developer / PHP Developer with a strong portfolio of completed WordPress projects.
  • Proficiency in PHP, WordPress (themes, plugins, hooks, filters, actions), and MySQL.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress CMS architecture and custom post types.
  • Experience with front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of REST API integration within WordPress.
  • Understanding of OOP concepts, MVC design patterns, and PHP frameworks (Laravel/CodeIgniter/Symfony) is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
