Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an E-Com Accountant located in Kochi. The E-Com Accountant will be responsible for managing and reconciling e-commerce financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Day-to-day tasks include tracking sales data, processing payments, overseeing budgets, and analyzing financial performance. The role requires collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights and support business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Management & Reconciliation.
• Reconcile payments, deductions, refunds, and chargebacks from e-commerce platforms (like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Shopify, etc.).
• Verify marketplace remittances vs. internal sales records; reconcile bank accounts and payment gateways.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Process vendor invoices and payments; manage receivables from platforms/clients.
• Ensure timely collections and vendor payments; resolve discrepancies.
• GST, TDS, Tax Compliance
• Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and reconcile with GSTR-2A/2B.
• Handle TDS deductions, filings (e.g., Form 26Q, 24Q), and submissions along with reconciliation.
• Prepare Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and platform-wise financial summaries.
• Conduct variance and trend analysis (e.g., sales vs. cost of goods sold, margins, promotional impact).
• Track and reconcile inventory across platforms, including FBA/FBM inventory valuations and cost of goods.
• Maintain accurate books using Tally.
• Enable seamless integration between e-commerce platforms and accounting systems.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• Typically 2–7 years of relevant experience in e-commerce accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), plus familiarity with accounting tools like Tally.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, accuracy in reconciliation.
• GST and TDS compliance knowledge.
• Experience handling high transaction volumes and complex e-commerce workflows.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
