Job Title: Mobile Engineer (Android/iOS)

Experience Level: Mid-Level (4+ years)

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Mobile Engineers (Android and/or iOS) with a strong track

record in building, maintaining, and debugging high-quality mobile applications. The ideal

candidate has at least 4 years of hands-on experience in mobile development, thrives in

high-impact situations, and can communicate effectively during outages or production issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Android or iOS applications using Kotlin/Java or

Swift/Objective-C.

  • Debug and resolve complex issues across a variety of devices and OS versions.
  • Help with on-call responsibilities, ensuring timely resolution or triage of bugs to the

appropriate Point of Contact ("POC") or owners.

  • Maintain high adherence to Service Level Agreements ("SLAs") for incident response

and bug resolution.

  • Handle bug triaging and fixes according to priority queues and escalation policies.
  • Lead or contribute to SEV (severity incident) investigations, including root cause

analysis, proposed solutions, and participation in post-incident retrospectives.

  • Create and maintain technical documents, including project plans, implementation

strategies, and contextual analysis for significant code changes.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, product, and backend teams to deliver seamless

experiences.

  • Contribute to app performance monitoring and continuous improvement of reliability.
  • Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to engineering

best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift/Objective-C) app

development.

  • Strong experience with debugging tools and techniques on mobile platforms.
  • Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.) and best

practices.

  • Proven ability to manage communication and documentation during production

incidents.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cross-platform frameworks like Flutter or React Native.
  • Previous experience publishing and maintaining apps on App Store or Google Play.
  • Familiarity with backend services, REST APIs, and mobile performance optimization.
