Lead openshift administrator

We are seeking an experienced Lead OpenShift Administrator to design, deploy, and manage our enterprise OpenShift clusters. The role requires deep expertise in Linux administration, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI). You will lead a small team of engineers, ensure high availability of platforms, and drive automation across the environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the administration, configuration, and optimization of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters in production and non-production environments.
Oversee cluster installation, upgrades, scaling, patching, and monitoring.
Manage Linux-based infrastructure (RHEL or CentOS) supporting OpenShift.
Integrate OpenShift with enterprise services (networking, storage, logging, monitoring, security).
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI to support application deployments.
Mentor and guide junior administrators/engineers on OpenShift and DevOps practices.
Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and cloud engineering teams for continuous improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in Linux system administration (RHEL preferred).
6+ years of hands-on experience with OpenShift / Kubernetes administration.
Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipelines (runners, jobs, stages, deployment automation).
Proficiency in container technologies (Docker, Podman, CRI-O).
Experience with Helm, Operators, and OpenShift templates.
