The Work You'll Do
A Senior Software Engineer applies advanced technical expertise and leadership to the development, delivery, maintenance, and operation of software products and services. They work with others across the business to understand customer needs and develop high value solutions. They are accountable for the design and implementation of complex solutions that meet software functional and non-functional requirements and adhere to established development standards. Throughout the lifecycle, the Senior Software Engineer serves as a technical leader and mentor to others in their area(s) of expertise and they continually develop skills relevant to their role.

Please note that this role does require you to be on-site in our Navi Mumbai office.

More Specifically You Will

• Lead SDLC activities and champion TDD/CI practices while mentoring others in their implementation
• Function as a senior technical contributor, independently handling complex tasks and guiding junior team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and drive improvements in processes
• Provide technical leadership on complex projects, lead pair programming sessions, and establish coding standards
• Demonstrate expertise in multiple technical domains with deep knowledge of Sovos applications
• Create comprehensive documentation, resolve complex escalations, and architect solutions to challenging problems
• Design and implement advanced practices for software projects while maintaining effective cross-departmental relationships
• Author technical documentation, design testing protocols, and deliver high-performance production-ready code
• Lead multiple workstreams while maintaining integrity and professional focus on projects

What We Need From You

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of software development experience
• Advanced full stack development expertise (.NET 8/9, REACT) with expert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Deep knowledge of micro frontend, distributed architecture, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud technologies
• Strong expertise in database systems (Postgres, MongoDB) and messaging solutions (RabbitMQ, Service Bus, SQS)
• Fluent English communication skills with proven ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical initiatives
