Key Responsibilities:

  • Excel/VBA Development: Design, build, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Excel models, advanced formulas, Power Query, and VBA solutions for live business workflows.
  • Solution Architecture: Analyze Excel user profiles and workload patterns.
  • Recommend optimal environment sizing (vCPU, vRAM, cloud, Citrix, Azure, desktop setups) for various user needs.
  • Business Engagement: Partner with business units and end-users to understand challenges, convert requirements, and ensure Excel solutions address real-world scenarios.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop accessible guides, best practices, and troubleshooting resources. Deliver coaching and training for all skill levels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback, monitor performance, and iterate solutions to meet business and user needs.
  • Stabilized, high-performing Excel workbooks (minimum freezes, timeouts, errors)
  • User-friendly documentation and best practices widely adopted
  • Actionable sizing/configuration recommendations for both IT and end-users
  • Increased user self-sufficiency and productivity with Excel
  • Tangible business impact through modern, efficient Excel solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced design and optimization of complex Excel workbooks, formulas, and VBA macros in business environments
  • Experience with Excel 2016 and Microsoft 365 (M365); familiarity with Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktops, and cloud deployments
  • Analytical expertise to assess workload/resource needs and advise on technical sizing for different user groups
