Integration Driver Developer

Location: Hyderabad, India.

Job Type: Full-Time.

Position: Driver Developer.

Department: Driver Development / R&D.

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly capable Driver Developers with strong expertise in Python, and knowledge of

understanding device specific API information, device communication protocols [TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, RESTful,

Websockets, MQTT, etc.] and XML data structures. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining

integration drivers for automation controllers, ensuring reliable and scalable communication between

automation processors and end devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Integration Drivers for Automation Controllers using Python and

• Consume and interpret API/SDK documentation from Smart Home device manufacturers.

• Implement communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, MQTT, Serial

(RS232/RS485), etc.

•

Define and manage driver-related metadata using XML.

• Collaborate with the QA team to test, debug, and validate drivers across multiple environments.

• Maintain driver documentation for deployment and usage.

• Research new APIs, SDKs, and communication standards to expand integration driver ecosystem.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python and

Hands-on experience working with APIs (REST, WebSockets, JSON, XML).

• Strong understanding of device communication protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT, Serial, etc.).

• Experience in working with XML for data/configuration management.

• Ability to parse and implement technical API/SDK documentation into functional software modules.

• Knowledge of asynchronous programming (async/await, event-driven frameworks).

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills

• Good communication and documentation skills.

• Familiarity with smart home architecture and protocols such as Matter, Modbus, Ethernet, Zigbee or Z-

Wave (bonus).

• Skilled in using debugging tools (Packet Sender, Advanced IP Scanners, Hercules, Wireshark).

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

•

Experience in Home Automation / IoT / Embedded Systems.

• Familiarity with KNX, Lutron, BTicino, Crestron, AMX, or similar automation systems.

• Knowledge of Git / version control tools.

• Understanding of Home Automation & IoT ecosystems.

Soft Skills:

• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a security-first mindset.

• Excellent technical & communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and documentation.

• Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of entire development subsystems from concept to

production.

• Committed to best practices in coding, security, testing, and deployment.

• Passion for smart automation technology, embedded systems, and delivering meaningful user

experiences.

Qualifications:

• B.E./ B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.

• 25 years of experience in software development ).

• Freshers with strong fundamentals and passion for Home Automation / IoT may also apply for Jr. Developer roles.
