Position Title: Senior Educational Counsellor

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Key Responsibilities

  1. Parents/Student Counselling & Admissions
  2. Conduct career counselling sessions for students and parents (online/offline).
  3. Clearly explain program structure, curriculum, certifications, placements, and career outcomes.
  4. Converting high-intent leads into successful admissions.
  5. Outreach & Relationship Management
  6. Build relationships with colleges, coaching centers, and education fairs for lead generation.
  7. Work closely with corporates for career-pathway alignment.
  8. Strategic Sales & Conversions
  9. Achieve monthly/annual admission targets.
  10. Collaborate with marketing to refine student acquisition funnels.
  11. Mentoring & Team Contribution
  12. Provide feedback to curriculum & placement teams based on student queries.

Required Qualifications

  • MBA (Marketing / HR / Education Management / Sales preferred).
  • 510 years proven experience in student counselling/admissions at:
  • EdTech firms (UpGrad, Great Learning, BYJUs, Simplilearn, etc.)
  • Private universities (Amity, NMIMS, LPU, Symbiosis, etc.)
  • Strong communication in English + Hindi & Regional language
  • Consultative, empathetic, and target-driven mindset.

Expected Skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation & persuasion skills.
  • Ability to counsel parents as key decision-makers.
