Job overview:

We are looking for a Structural Engineer with about 110 years of experience to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in design, analysis, drawing preparation, site coordination, and ensuring structural integrity in projects. You will work with architects, contractors, and other disciplines.

Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or closely related).
  • 110 years of experience in structural design / analysis (via professional job + internship preferred).
  • Good command of structural analysis software.
  • Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD) for preparing / reviewing drawing sets; reinforcement detailing.
  • Strong understanding of structural design principles (loads: dead, live, wind, seismic etc.), load paths, material properties.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes & standards (Indian Standards for concrete, steel etc.).
  • Good technical report writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and integrate with structural design.
  • Good communication skills: ability to work with architects, contractors, senior engineers, and participate in site coordination.
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis & design for buildings, foundations, beams, columns, slabs using software tools.
  • Prepare/review detailed engineering calculations and reports, ensuring compliance with appropriate codes and standards (e.g. IS codes, NBC, local municipal codes).
  • Produce structural drawings (shop drawings, reinforcement detailing, connection details) and coordinate them with architectural, MEP, and other discipline drawings.
  • Support senior engineers in preparing designs for different materials such as reinforced concrete, steel, masonry etc.
  • Conduct site visits to verify whether construction is as per design, to take measurements, check material quality, resolve issues.
  • Participate in material / load / soil investigation and incorporate findings in design.
  • Assist in cost estimation related to structural components, quantities, delays, etc.

Review design modifications and change requests, incorporate feedback.

  • Maintain documentation, version control, ensure calculations and drawings are properly archived.
