Substance is hiring a Finance Business Partner who brings depth, substance, and ownership — not just titles. In this critical role, you will be the financial advisor and partner to our technology leadership, ensuring financial insights directly shape strategic, high-impact decisions that drive innovation, efficiency, and real business outcomes.What You'll Own• Act as the trusted financial partner to technology leaders — not just a reporter of numbers — providing analysis that drives smarter decisions.• Deep-dive into technology spend: spot trends, surface risks and opportunities, and shape financial strategies that make sense.• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning for technology investments; ensure every dollar spent is purposeful.• Build and own financial models that evaluate the true business impact of technology projects.• Deliver clear, actionable financial reporting — not noise — to senior leadership.• Ensure cross-functional alignment so that project budgets and forecasts support our strategic goals.• Champion and monitor financial controls that ensure transparency, integrity, and accountability in tech investments.• Drive process improvements that make our finance operations smarter, faster, better.
