About the Role:
We are seeking a Certified Energy Auditor who will be responsible for conducting comprehensive energy audits at customer sites, with a strong focus on HVAC systems and commercial building energy efficiency. This role will complement the Senior HVAC Research Engineer by providing ground-level audit insights into system health, consumption behavior, and opportunities for efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Energy Audit & Assessment

• Conduct comprehensive site-wide energy audits for large and small commercial buildings.

• Analyze electricity consumption patterns, HVAC system usage, and overall building energy performance.
• Evaluate types, conditions, and operational health of air conditioners (split ACs, cassettes, VRV/VRF, etc.) to quantify energy-saving opportunities.

• Establish baselines for energy use and potential cost savings for each customer site.

• Measurement & Verification (M&V) and Benchmarking

• Apply recognized M&V protocols (e.g., IPMVP, ASHRAE Guidelines) to validate energy savings.

• Design and implement benchmarking approaches for energy efficiency across diverse building scenarios.
• Ensure compliance with standards that can lead to sustainability certifications.

• Develop methodologies for monitoring, reporting, and verifying sustained energy savings.

• Collaboration & Predictability

• Work closely with the Sr. HVAC Research Engineer to correlate audit findings with predictive algorithms.

• Provide audit-driven insights to help forecast achievable energy savings before customer deployment.

• Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare detailed energy audit reports with actionable insights, savings projections, and certification recommendations.

• Present findings to business, product, and engineering teams, bridging field data with technical models.

• Continuous Improvement

• Standardize audit protocols across customer sites to ensure consistency and comparability.

• Capture learnings from diverse building types to refine predictive models and customer selection.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certified Energy Auditor (BEE Certification or equivalent is mandatory).
• 5+ years of experience in conducting energy audits, with strong focus on commercial buildings and HVAC systems.
• Proven hands-on expertise in measurement & verification protocols.
• Experience in benchmarking building energy efficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in handling electricity consumption and sub-metering data.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills to present findings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to IoT-enabled energy monitoring solutions.
• Experience with commercial building efficiency programs.
• Background in HVAC operations, maintenance, or controls.
• Hands-on experience contributing to projects that achieved sustainability certification.
