About This Role
This is a unique opportunity for a creative and charismatic individual to be part of the product operations team for Gartner Peer Insights (GPI). GPI's mission is to transform the way enterprise software & services are bought and sold by creating the industry standard for reviews and ratings. We are looking for a Manager, Product operations, to scale our vendor onboarding and content creation operations. You will work directly with senior stakeholders and be the natural extension of operations horsepower. You will also have the opportunity to work on several business initiatives and be empowered to lead problem solving leading to continuous improvement. If you have strong business acumen, ability to work with cross-functional teams and enjoy working in a fast-paced lean startup team at an established brand, this is the role for you.

What you will do

  • As a Manager, you own end-to-end delivery of multiple business process related work streams
  • Drive business initiatives and work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • Able to effectively and efficiently translate operational and "big picture" understanding into metrics-driven thinking.
  • Thoughtful communication skills to tailor messaging to all levels of the organization
  • Lead problem solving meetings within the team to improve processes through analytic approaches, see "so what" and, develop thorough, straightforward recommendations
  • Own projects, understand & scope project requirements and map out delivery plan
  • Develop processes to support the growing vendor base, to effectively deliver multiple requests and demonstrate measurable business impact thereof
  • Apply lean product principles in your day-to-day problem solving and lead knowledge sharing sessions
  • Assess workload across the team and help the team members to manage, prioritize, and optimize workload
  • Manage operational issues/escalations in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage team members and help them on a day-to day basis to deliver high quality deliverables

What you'll work on:

  • Drive and lead development of dashboard for uncovering trends/patterns in vendors request activity and enable monthly ops review
  • Identify and innovate improvements in vendor request processes (i.e. data sources, technology, processes) to increase productivity per associate
  • Guide team members on complex vendor requests (product consolidation, mergers & acquisitions, etc.) and enable timely resolution for a superior vendor experience
  • Partner with other business units (e.g. Research & Advisory, Legal, etc.) to handle vendor escalations and support content creation process

What you'll need:

  • Master's/MBA degree and graduation in engineering and exposure in Digital Products space
  • Overall, 6-8 years of relevant industry experience in Tech/IT industry, Research or Consulting
  • Passion for continuous, metrics-based process and operational improvement
  • Proven experience of handling teams (3-5 team members) and ability to identify gaps/provide relevant training to team members
  • Sound understanding of complex technology products & able to comfortably learn about new ones
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Project management experience & capability to give independent opinions based on facts
  • Strong Microsoft Office expertise – Advanced Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience, maturity and ability to prioritize and manage workload in order to meet deadlines; proficient in multitasking; Experience working in an international environment calendaring amongst different WW time zones
