Job Details Position Summary

The CDI Team Lead will supervise a team of Specialists, ensuring quality and compliance in clinical documentation. The role combines technical expertise with people leadership and performance coaching.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day operations for a team of 1015 CDI Specialists
  • Review complex or escalated documentation cases; ensure quality and consistency
  • Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback to team members
  • Coordinate with US leadership and internal stakeholders for process alignment
  • Monitor team KPIs, documentation timelines, and compliance targets
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in health sciences, or related field.
  • 710 years of experience in CDI or inpatient coding, with at least 2 years in a lead role (some type of coding experience required; in-patient coding experience highly preferred)
  • CCDS/CDIP or AHIMA/AAPC equivalent credential
  • Proficiency in DRG optimization, clinical documentation standards, and mentoring
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
