We are seeking a qualified
Cost Accountant
to serve as a
Financial Business Analyst
, responsible for preparing insightful
MIS reports
, performing
cost and financial analysis
, and identifying
opportunities for efficiency and profitability improvements
. The ideal candidate will apply their costing expertise and analytical skills to support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

MIS Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare, consolidate, and publish
    regular MIS reports
    (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly) capturing key financial, operational, and cost-related metrics.
  • Design and automate dashboards to track performance KPIs such as cost per unit, contribution margin, cost variances, and overhead absorption.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Financial Analysis & Insights:

  • Conduct trend analysis, profitability analysis, and cost analysis to identify deviations and variances from targets or budgets.
  • Analyse direct and indirect costs, fixed vs variable costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Business Performance Improvement:

  • Identify
    inefficiencies, wastages, and leakages
    in processes, pricing, and resource utilization.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommend strategies to
    optimize cost structures
    , improve margins, and enhance profitability.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of
    annual budgets
    , rolling forecasts, and cost projections.
  • Support business units with
    financial planning
    aligned to operational goals.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with department heads (Finance, Production, Procurement, Sales) to understand business challenges and provide analytical support.
  • Present findings, dashboards, and recommendations to senior management in a clear and impactful manner.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified
    Cost Accountant (CMA/ICWA)
    with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on
    costing
    ,
    budgeting
    , and
    performance analysis
    .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing/service costing, inventory valuation, and cost control principles.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
