The team

The DTPMI team is a group of dedicated specialists focused on helping the clients end-end in the deal life cycle. Services include Diligence, Value creation and solution development. Value creation team includes supply chain professionals driving supply chain excellence through advanced data analytics, process optimization, and cost efficiency initiatives. We help clients identify, evaluate, and prioritize actionable improvements across their supply chain operations, leveraging deep analytics, automation, and innovative technologies to unlock value.

Our team supports organizations in transitioning towards data-driven decision-making and supply chain agility. We identify opportunities across procurement, inventory management, logistics, and demand planning through comprehensive analytics and process redesign. We also collaborate closely with stakeholders to implement robust, technology-enabled solutions that optimize costs and improve overall supply chain performance.

We frequently work on international assignments involving cross-border and cross-service line teams, requiring our professionals to build wide networks across the global firm.

Your work profile

As a Deputy Manager in our Deal Transformation & PMI – VCS Team you'll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

You will play a pivotal role in managing and executing projects focused on supply chain analytics, cost optimization, and digital transformation. Your responsibilities will include developing data-driven analytics solutions, coding automation scripts (Python), managing SQL databases, and creating insightful dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) to drive impactful decision-making. You will work closely with clients and onsite teams to identify supply chain improvement opportunities and support change management efforts.

The role will include the following activities:

• Leading and managing a team of junior members, while building and leveraging relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Quickly understanding clients' supply chain operations, key performance drivers, and business goals.
• Conducting in-depth analysis of supply chain data, including procurement, inventory, logistics, and demand planning.
• Supply chain solutioning leveraging AI and Python. Developing and maintaining data pipelines and automation using Python and SQL.
• Creating interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or Tableau to communicate insights effectively.
• Producing high-quality deliverables (Excel, PowerPoint, code documentation) within agreed timelines.
• Supporting business development efforts through client presentations, proposal development, and relationship management.
• Participating in cross-border teams on projects ranging from a few days to several months.
• Working with diverse clients, from large multinationals and private equity firms to owner-managed businesses.
• Exploring opportunities for international secondments.
• Building relationships with Deloitte offices globally and demonstrating knowledge of regional supply chain practices.

Desired qualifications

A bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or related fields., and 10+ years of related work experience.

MBA is preferred

• Significant experience in supply chain analytics, operations, or consulting.
• Strong programming skills in AI, Python, with proven experience automating supply chain processes and analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL for database querying, data extraction, and transformation.
• Hands-on experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.
• Demonstrated success in supply chain cost optimization projects, including inventory reduction, procurement efficiency, and logistics improvement.
• Strong analytical mindset and experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Business development experience in leading end to end pursuits, including client engagement and proposal development.
• Strong report writing and reviewing skills, with an appropriate focus on attention to detail, conciseness and risk management
• Deep understanding of supply chain metrics, KPIs, and operational levers.
• Strong commercial acumen and market awareness
• Focused on high quality service
• Fluency in written & verbal English

• Base location: Gurugram
• This profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
