Reports To: Finance Manager/Controller

Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tally works and performing various accounting tasks. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Recordkeeping:

  2. Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger accounts.

  3. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  4. Financial Reporting:

  5. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  6. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

  7. Generate reports for management review.

  8. Compliance and Audit:

  9. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.

  10. Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.

  11. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  12. Process invoices, expense reports, and payments.

  13. Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.

  14. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.

  15. Reconciliation:

  16. Perform regular bank reconciliations.

  17. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.

  18. Tax Preparation:

  19. Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns.

  20. Ensure timely payment of taxes and compliance with tax regulations.

  21. Payroll:

  22. Assist in payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payment of wages.

  23. Maintain payroll records and handle payroll-related inquiries.

  24. Cost Control:

  25. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget.

  26. Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities.

  27. Software and Systems:

  28. Utilize accounting software and other financial tools effectively.

  29. Ensure accurate data entry and system updates.

  30. Other Duties:

  31. Support special projects and perform other accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • *Experience:* Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience.

  • Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment with standard working hours.

  • May require occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., month-end, year-end).
